Dirt & Soil FAQs:

  • We can usually make deliveries within 1-3 business days, but the time of year makes a difference. During a slower season, we can deliver the same day.
  • We encourage customers to call several days in advance if they want to make sure their delivery arrives on time. This is especially true in the spring and early summer.
  • Our range of trucks can haul 1 to 24 tons of product at one time.
  • Absolutely! Just make sure you come during store hours - we have lots of inventory!
  • Screened topsoil has been run through a screening process to remove large rocks, clumps of dirt, and other debris.
  • Simply call us at 717-273-7568 to talk to our sales team about the soil blend you need!
  • With its combination of screened topsoil and enhanced compost, we recommend using the garden mix soil wherever you want maximum plant germination and growth - gardens, flower beds, top layer of yards, and even potting soil!
  • Mushroom mulch works great to improve the quality of any soil or raise the pH level of the soil. It can be used in lawns, gardens, flower beds, and other places where fertilizer or a top dressing is needed.
  • NOTE: We do not recommend putting mushroom soil against trees or shrubs since the nutrient-rich soil can attract insects and bugs. If spreading in an area where you have shrubs, keep the mushroom mulch 1-2 feet from the shrubs.
